Well, this was definitely a challenging challenge!!  The challenge was to use only colored cardstock.  Absolutely no Basic White or Very Vanilla.  I had no idea I always have a piece of Basic White or Very Vanilla somewhere on my card until this challenge.  I urge you to take this challenge and see what you create.  A great challenge to get you thinking outside your comfort zone! 

Below, you'll find a list of products, colors and instructions to create this card.  Products used can be purchased through my Stampin' Up! on-line store, unless otherwise stated.  You can find my website information under SHOP.

Supplies:

  • Stamp:  Celebrate Sunflowers #152517
  • Die:  Sunflowers #152704
  • Embossing Folder:  Brick & Mortar (retired)
  • Cardstock:  Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness
  • Stampin' Ink Pad:  Just Jade, Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness, Whisper White
  • Embellishments:  Mini Prills (non Stampin' Up!)
  • Adhesive of choice, Stampin' Dimensionals #104430
  • Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
  • Blending Brush #153611
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Just Jade, 5 ½ x 4 ¼
  • Bumblebee, ¾ x 4, you'll need two
  • Misty Moonlight, 3 ½ x 8, score at 2 and 4
  • Bumblebee, 2 x 1 ¼
  • Scrap Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee, Magenta Madness, approximately 4 x 4 and Just Jade, approximately 4 x 1 ¼  

Instructions:

  • Stamp the sunflower and leaf images on the scrap Misty Moonlight, Magenta Madness, Bumblebee and Just Jade.
  • Stamp your sentiment on the scrap Bumblebee.
  • Using your Cut & Emboss machine, die cut the sunflowers and leaves.  Run the two Bumblebee strips using the Brick & Mortar embossing folder through your machine.
  • Using the blending brush, lightly brush the brick with Whisper White.
  • Adhere the strips to both sides of the card base.
  • Adhere the Misty Moonlight to the center of the card base.
  • Adhere the sunflowers to the lower quarter of the scored Misty Moonlight.  Be careful so you don't glue the flowers down completely or else it won't bend.
  • Adhere the sentiment using dimensionals to the inside.
