The Bird's Swan Song

akshita1776

May 9

The bird flew high that day To sing her song of pain A haunting tune, a shriek so loud All in the midst of rain Wet and cold but loudly still She continues her song Yet no one listens or pays heed Before its too long She climbed the branches again With her wing cut and clipped Her croon's loud, the cry for help Still heard; ears are miffed She wouldn't fly nor did she climb today Her voice silenced far and beyond Yet everyone cried, prayed and had heard it For twas' her swan song

I was reading Maya Angelou's I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and was like hey! now bird's a nice symbol to use in a poem and tada this came out.

I'd love to hear what you think I was wanting to tell you all through this. Let's talk in the comments!

Alsoooo, I am back! For good this time. Promise:D
