I save my back by using small handbags

I have created a new habit for the days I work from home. I take a walk at lunchtime and stop for a coffee at the nearest coffee shop. This costs money of course, but getting out - no matter the weather - gives me more energy, and it is nice to sit for a while and people-watch from the window.

I am still working primarily at home, with Monday and Thursday afternoons out in the field. These Mondays and Thursdays are problematic because on each of these afternoons I have three x 1.5 hour face-to-face lessons at different places in the centre of town. If any of the groups decide to work from home that day (it happens frequently), I am unable to get home in time to have a digital meeting. I can't sit in a coffee shop because some of the information shared in our meetings is classified, and my office is too far away to get there in time. As most workplaces in Sweden are allowing people to work from home 2 or 3 days a week, this problem is likely to continue for some time. Next term I am probably going to insist that more groups are 100% online, if they cannot be 100% sure which days they will be working from the office.
