I can't believe that April is already here. I'm glad spring is back again. Winter always has a habit of giving me the blues. I'm looking forward to longer sunny days, walks at my local park, and the world blossoming with new life. I'm also looking forward to creating amazing things. Here's what I've been up to this month.

Discovering Domestika

As I talked about in my Two Cent Reviews post, I've just discovered Domestika, a website full of online courses to help people learn creative skills. I've purchased a few courses recently that I'm excited to learn from. I started with Professional Photography for Instagram by Mina Barrio and I'm now working my way through Illustrated Life Journal: A Daily Mindful Practice by Kate Sutton, which I will be writing a blog post about in May or June. I'm also excited to get into a mixed media and kawaii illustration courses I also purchased.

Paint & Glitter

I recently tried out incorporating glitter onto a wet acrylic canvas. The colors I produced were lovely; the effect and look need work. Next time, I'm going to try incorporating gold leafing and even spattering black or white paint for a contrast look.

New Grocery Bag Design

Played around in InDesign with produce placement and came up with this set up. I like how simple it is, almost like an abstract art piece.

That's all for now. See you next post!
