As I stand at the end of the hall at school each day and greet the kids arriving from car riders, a kindergartener ran up to me all breathless excited. She announced:

Guess what?!
What, I replied
MY HEAD CAN WOBBLE!
/laughter from me/
WANNE SEE?
Sure I said
She proceeds to make her head and neck go like the Egyptian dance...then runs off.
I love my job!

It was such a bright and sunny day yesterday that after work I decided to head up to Kroger and grab my groceries on Friday instead of Sunday (because it will be 82 degrees Sunday and since my car has no AC nor will the driver window go down, it was prudent to make the 45 min round trip in cooler temps!) Prices are going sky high, so I also thought it the better part of valor to stock up on items that were for sale that I know I will need in the near future, like coffee, and frozen seafood. These days it's necessary to look at every coupon, find every deal.

Speaking of deals, I also decided to prolong my trip home by taking a detour along a picturesque road and snap some photos. That particular road brings me to my favorite vintage resale store, go figure! Here are some of the pics I took along the way. The forsythia are blooming as are some flowering trees. It's lovely here in Georgia in March.

This spot is on a high bluff overlooking pastures, low chicken houses, and a cemetery with lots of flowers adorning the granite graves.
This homeowner loves his red, I guess!
We love pecans around here. At my old place there were two pecan trees in the yard.
It's an easy drive with occasional pops of forsythia yellow and pink tree blossoms starting to bud

I savor that peaceful feeling on Friday after you leave work. I love my job and I had a really good week, but it also feels good to turn your back on "all that" and head home. Like the song says, "Home sings me of sweet things".

A good deal sings me of sweet things too! What did I find at the vintage store? Well, they are having a liquidation sale on clothing. They need to empty out those rooms so they can re-roof. All clothes were $1. Summer's coming and I like hanging around in soft and light tee shirts. I also sleep in tee shirts. I found these 4 tee shirts for a dollar each. The green one is SOOOO soft!

When I got home I threw the new clothes in the washer and dryer along with my pile of laundry and felt virtuous cuz I got my laundry done

There was this dress and a dress shirt, also a dollar each-

These white shell shaped napkin rings will be summer outside décor on my entry table. 50 cents each
Good quality paper. When summer comes I want to paint or craft. Reviews of this paper, which is a premium paper, say it absorbs water slowly so you can spread the paint without buckling and has a good amount of tooth.

And now for the pièce de résistance! I believe this pen is handmade. It is of good wood. The fittings such as the clip and the top and the cone are of good quality. It was twenty-five cents!!!

I obtained a few things I needed, a few items I will use and enjoy later when the weather turns hotter, had a nice time browsing, too. I spent only $10, I can handle as my monthly spending spree. I like to put a short buffer between work and home on Fridays, and this small jaunt hit the spot.

HOME!

Have a great weekend everyone!
