So... this was really fun to create.  My husband was the inspiration for these cards.  Living on a farm, my husband is a firm believer of owning a pair of overalls.  Over the past several years, it has become his main wardrobe. He has "worn and torn" overalls for the farm and has "dress" overalls for when we go out.

The first card I created took a little time, however, once I figured out the measurements, the second card was a breeze.  Although, several items such as cardstock and punches are no longer available through Stampin' Up!, you can use other shades of green and use a heart punch/die to create the shamrock.  I included some additional pictures to help better explain how I created this card.

Supplies:

  • Die:  Suite & Tie #154322
  • Cardstock:  Very Vanilla, Soft Sea Foam, Basic Gray, Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover (retired)
  • DSP:  Subtle 6 x 6, Soft Sea Foam (retired)
  • Stampin' Ink Pad:  Call Me Clover (retired)
  • Embossing Folder:  Tasteful Textile #152718
  • Adhesive of choice, Stampin' Dimensionals #104430
  • Punch: Round 1/2 inch (retired), Pansy (retired)
  • Sponge Dauber #133773
  • Cut & Emboss Machine #149653
  • Bone folder #102300
  • Paper Snips Scissors #103579
  • Pencil and ruler

Cutting Instructions (measurements in inches):

  • Card base, Soft Sea Foam, 4 ¼ x 11, score at 5 ½
  • Basic Gray, 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
  • Call Me Clover, 4 x 3 ½
  • DSP, 4 x 3 ¾
  • Scrap Call Me Clover for shirt buttons, pocket and straps
  • Scrap Granny Apple Green for shamrock
  • Scrap Very Vanilla, approximately 1 ½ x ½ for skin
  • Scrap DSP for collar and strap button

Instructions:

  • Prepare card base and set aside.
  • Using the pencil and ruler, lightly place a mark at the top and sides of the Call Me Clover cardstock.  Refer to the picture for measurements.
  • Lightly draw the diagonal line to make it easier to cut both sides evenly.
  • Using your Cut & Emboss machine, die cut the collar, pocket, strap and shirt buttons.  Cut the strap in half.
  • Create the shamrock by using the Pansy punch and punch the strap button on scrap DSP.  Refer to the picture to see how I created the shamrock.
  • I found it easier to assemble the overalls to the Basic Gray first since you will need to trim the excess straps.
  • I used dimensionals to pop up the collar and pocket.
  • Adhere to card base.
