Another enjoyable book in the Stormcloud Station series. This time we get to know Warwick better, we briefly met him in book 1 when he was suspected of murdering his girlfriend. This time Warwick comes across a young mother, Kee and her 4-year-old daughter, Bennie who are running from both the law and from her ex's family. Taking a wrong turn and ending up breaking down in the middle of nowhere, they are in need of help even if Kee doesn't want it.

I really like the way the people of Strromcloud Station are always so willing to help those in need or in trouble and how they will do whatever they can to help them out.

Warwick and Kee have instant chemistry and Bennie is just delightful and wiggles her way into Warwick's heart straightaway. While Warwick works hard to gain Kee's trust, Kee works hard to try to not feel obligated to anyone and also to deny her attraction to Warwick. But sometimes people have to accept help and sometimes we need to give in to our desires.

There are some tense moments when Kee's ex-brother-in-law turns up and they are on the run, but in the end, justice will prevail, as will love.

This can easily be read as a standalone, but the other books are also really good so you'll want to read them anyway.
