Making Space, Creating a Home Meditation Practice by Thich Nhat Hanh

About this book

If you find yourself stressed a lot of the time, if you find yourself looking for escape routes from your life. If the world feels like it spins too fast and you feel like you are going to fall off, or maybe feel like you have fallen off. If you are curious about meditation and want a short, sweet and simple method to bring meditation into your life, then this is a book well worth reading.

Its not full of glossy lifestyle type pictures, telling you all the things you need to 'buy', to achieve peace in your life. It is, full of ways to use what you have around you, to perhaps move somethings around a bit in your home. To find new ways of looking at the things you do, with new eyes.

This book is the keeping it simple. The pure essence of a lot of Thay's teachings. If you enjoy this one, I invite you to have a look at the many other books he has written too.

About the author

Dear Thay, Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, passed away on 22 January 2022. 🙏

Thay was a Buddhist Monk, who lived in Plum Village Monistry, in France. Later in his life, he was able to return home, to Vietnam. Thay (meaning teacher) has written many books on mindfulness and about Buddhism from the Plum Village Tradition.

If you wish to, please follow the links below, where you can find out more about Thay. The links will also enable you to have a look at the, Plum Village You Tube channel and hear TNH, sharing so many kind words of wisdom. Thay's teachings are full of hope and gratitude and share ways for living in a more aware state of being every day. A way to be present, in the present moment.

A cloud never dies - Thich Nhat Hanh

🙏 In honour of Thay, I dedicate this month on the blog, to spiritual projects, with self care and compassion at their heart. 🙏

Its going to be a meditative, spiritual kind of theme, to this months posts. Expect an oracle deck, a poem and a little look at a sewing project. The sewing project will be ideal, if you wish to create a sacred space that you can take with you, anywhere. Hmm should I call it 'Peace in your pocket, do you think?'

Here are the links to where you can find this book and also more about Thay, his life, works, other books and teachings. They are his continuation. 🙏

Have you read any Thich Nhat Hanh books? Which ones?

Best wishes and thanks for reading, see you soon
