Rat a tat tat. Who is that? Only Grandma's pussycat. What do you want? A pint of milk. Where's your money? In my pocket. Where's your pocket? I forgot it. Oh, you silly pussycat!
We've been playing a new card game recently. It's called rat a tat tat and only requires a pack of playing cards (minus Jokers). The aim is to get the lowest number of points by adding the numbers on the cards in front of you. The catch is that the four cards in front of you are face down and you're only allowed to look at two of the cards at the start of the game. After that, you have to try and remember what numbers you have in front of you as you switch them with the cards from the centre pile. The Jack, Queen and King cards have slightly different properties which make the game more interesting.
Herby has finished her 100 colours challenge and we've turned it into a 100 square which we use for adding up scores after a game of rat a tat tat.
Progress through Herby's reading book has slowed. We've just finished lesson 68 but it took quite a while to work through. I think we'll continue working through slowly but try and add in some word games too.
