Roller skates are currently gaining in popularity in Gnomish culture. And yes, Tock did have a pair for a while. Her adoptive inventor brother-in-law/mentor made them for her.... and of course, chaos ensued.

Leading Bumble to steal and hide them from her within a week.

(The aforementioned mentor then ended up making those stilts for her to make up for it.)
