I love when the summer breaks and changes to fall here in Georgia. It's cool, the vistas are sharp because there's no humidity or haze, and the leaves change. The foliage is not as vivid as up north, but it lasts longer. I like that Fall lasts longer here, I'll take it.
I've been having a quiet morning here. I got up early after having gone to bed early. I'm recovering from a stomach flu and trying to stave off pneumonia. I was tired when I got home from school Friday afternoon, but I stayed up till 8pm, otherwise I'd have awakened at midnight! My body clock is extremely regular. This morning I've been having coffee and reading an autobiography.
Here is my living room in the quiet early morning, as I sit at my kitchen table this is what I see...and I love it.
I changed out my décor at the front door to match the Thanksgiving season. I got the table, the glass art pumpkin and the wreath at my favorite vintage store. I got the banner at Amazon with my points, for free.
At the vintage store I'd previously seen a rectangular shaped art deco large white vase, and also some tall candy cane striped sticks. I am hoping the vase and the sticks are still there, they will be my Christmas décor when I change the front door the day after Thanksgiving. I think the white will contrast nicely against the sand of the front of the building. It might be sold by now, but this is what it looked like when they posted it:
While I was sick, I was thankful for Youtube. I'd watch cat rescue videos, ship in peril videos, and recipe videos (even though I had no interest in food). I saw one where you take two eggs and a mashed up banana, mix them, and drop the 'batter' onto a griddle to make 'pancakes'. I'm going to try that this morning.
Now that the sun is up a bit this is the scene out my window. I have a curtain covering the lower half because that window faces the street. I like seeing the sun tinge the leaves golden during the Golden Hour.
Have a super day everyone!
