Well! You've really been busy at Sth Jemos in the last fortnight. I went at lowish tide and found my way blocked by ridges of rock I'd never seen before, and signs of relocated sand. I had to clamber - with extreme caution - over one such ridge to reach the end of the beach.

*
There were even pools of water nestled in the rock close against the headland.
*
What looked like an easier option on my return had water swirling at my ankles. At least I was fit enough - a few weeks ago I wouldn't have trusted my steady-footedness.
*
I was surprised by your provision of curves, not the first of many surprises, and not such a common sight.
*
Once I met your challenge you rewarded me. Richly. How can the same area present so differently each time I visit? Today my eye was drawn to quartz veins …
*
*
… to many manifestations of blue

*
… ridges of brown …
*
*
… and panels that represent many colours and configurations.
*
*
Vibrant is your main mode, but you have moments of subtlety and limited palette.
*
*
You even tempted me away from close scrutiny to take a wider view.

If only those footprints heading off into a tornado of cloud were paired, yours and mine. It's a long time since we walked together, even metaphorically.
